Default What would you do?

OK, so on May 5th I signed the papers on a used 2012 F150 XLT Screw 6.5' box eco-boost with 26,000 miles. The dealer is in a town 50 miles away but the sales manager lives a block over from us. I live in Minnesota and have had critical habitat plates with the fishing scene on my last 2007 F150 and I wanted to transfer the plates, there is fee involved and they said they know what to do. Papers were all signed and everything sent to the financing company and good to go.

Fast forward to just a few minutes ago, the sales manager sends me a text and says the office girls are $58.00 short because of the plate transfer and asking me when he can pick up the money? I am thinking not! Maybe a phone call, or stopping by my house, but a text?!

What would you do?

Ask for documentation to prove the extra cost. If they do so, pay the $58 and go fishing.

I'm thinking a phone call would work better? (Who the F is this!?) Yeah....let's see the paperwork (Forest). Than we talk monies. Sorry....testosterone flair up.

When I transferred tags on one of my vehicles it was actually cheaper than having a new tag made. I would want to see papers explaining the extra charges.

I asked for proof right away and find it hard to believe that with the money they made on this truck and the sale of my trade that they would text and ask for $58.

I spent over $50,000 on 2 new vehicles from the same dealer and they still charged me $18 for a front tag bracket.

Exactly.

Not sure why texting is such a big deal to some people.
I text people all the time rather then calling them.

They get the message at their leisure and can respond at their leisure.
It's faster for me

I just did the same thing back in April, bought two brand new vehicle's, dealer said they wouldn't cover any cost at DMV, So! before I signed any papers I said, "Well, I'll take a ride to another dealership and see what they will offer" don't think I ever saw someone back pedal any faster

You may want to contact the Department of Motor Vehicle Registration in your state to see what the actual cost is. It only cost me $1.50 to transfer my Specialty Plate. Some of these clerical and processing fees can be outrageous sometimes.
