Hey guys Im sure this has been asked but I cannot find a definitive answer.. Anyone know what the RMS is from the sony head unit with factory amp? I purchased some infinity door speakers and was wondering if they need to be amped or will be ok with just head unit.. Im already running a 15" kicker sub in place of factory sub, via a loc.. Thank you..

I have seen in other posts the factory HU is 15-18RMS. The speakers will be fine but with an amp they will probably sound better. I installed Polks on all doors without an amp, they sound great to me. It all depends on you.

My bad.....I believe the Sony amp is 40-50 RMS. My first numbers were for the non-Sony HU
