I can't lie, I was sworn import BUILT trucks my whole life. A friend insisted I look at Fords and other domestics, so VERY reluctantly I gave them the time to 'sway' me. well after comparing everything out there, and having driven a lot of them - the Ecoboosts SUPER quiet engine, and options for the price - as well as finding a massive amount of people swearing by the new Ford reliability - sold me a new 2013 F-150.

Time will tell but so far I am grinning whenever I drive it and its 'ticking every box' for me.

Everybody tends to gravitate towards older mustangs, but they forget about the other nice cars Ford has made over the years!

It's incredible. I would never have the patience or skill to do this... It's unfortunate cause I love these cars, I was just never exposed to this earlier in life. I know people my age who have already built several cars yet I haven't done a single oil change myself. I guess everybody is in a different walk and speed of life.

I have seen the truck in person, and it's a pretty sweet ride!

Oddly enough. I was looking at Dodge Rams. But by the time I got into the trim level and options I wanted in it I was $20k over my budget. On a whim, I looked at the F-150 and found that I could buy a truck off the lot in the trim and options I wanted for $18k cheaper. I've never been a fan of Ford but I'm definitely glad I bought my truck. And surprisingly I really like it a lot.

I've had many different brands.
More Fords than anything else. Will only list the Fords.
First Ford pickup was 1957 F100 with 427 CI
then 1948 F1 with 6 cylinder
1956 272CI - upgraded to a mild 289 CI
'74 Ranchero GT. My dream car and it was the only Ford I have owned and not liked.
1991 Ranger 4X4 SC 4.0
1995 Ranger 4X4 SC 4.0 - 6" lift and 33's
2000 F150 4X4 SC 5.4 stock
2004 F150 4X4 SC 4.6 stock
Loved them all except for that Ranchero. It was a pig and a lemon. Never was right from the beginning. I sold it to my X father in law.

I grew up Bleeding Ford Blue...my father, grandfather, uncles, cousins etc. all drive/drove Fords. A few years ago I bought a new 150, the check engine light came on while I was driving it home from the dealer. It started running like ****, I turned around made it back to the dealer and there it sat. BRAND NEW.! The Dealer was clueless to it's repair. Ford sent a Tech in from somewhere and said it was fixed. A couple weeks later the same thing happened. The **** part about all of this is Ford really didn't care, I was just a problem and they did there best to just ignore the problem. I was blown away at this attitude. After 30 days of being out of service I began the Lemon Law process and won hands down. Not feeling all warm and fuzzy about Fords attitude I bought a new 03' F250 6.0 lariat. Guess what. I started driving Rams and had never been happier with a Truck. After a couple of Rams my brother insisted his new Fords were perfect and it was time to come back to the Blue Family. Time's going to tell. We've only had this one a month now.

Picked up a new F150 last night, it's my first Ford. What drew me to the F150 were the small details, the interior, and the technology. It also helps that my inlaw's have been using Ford for many years on their farm and love them. I can't wait to fully use it on a long trip. The other trucks look great, but it was the small details. And a great price doesn't hurt.
