What made you buy a Ford & What do you love most about it?

My parents had a 1998 Explorer Limited and they loved it. Then a 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer. We put about 100k on that expedition. Only thing that ever broke was the forward/backward driver seat function. Was just a little plastic gear that broke. $11 fix. So here in 2013 I start looking at a new vehicle, and I so badly want a new Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I was set on it.
Then I realized that many trucks get even better mileage than the jeep and I wouldn't use the jeep to climb up a mountain face... So then the truck hunt began. First choice was obviously an F-150 as I had good experience with them, but I gave the other guys a chance. Drove a '12 Avalanche and a '13 Silverado 1500. Both were plagued by a useless gear box and greatly inferior interior. (hehe I just realized that ryhmes)
Dodge Ram was a good pick, good engine, good ride, not bad interior. But really wasn't impressed with "look at my muscles!!!" front end or fit and finish on some exterior parts. Then Toyota or Nissan, uh uh, no competition. So Ford it was! Got a great deal on mine so I was happy.

Grew up in a GM family and my first two trucks were Sierras ('95 & '02) both used when purchased. Sold the '95 a few years ago with 94k miles on it and stuck with the '02 Z71 with 170k+ miles. Finally got the ability to buy something brand new earlier this year and I didn't even give GM a chance. After riding in friends' new Silverados and F-150s, I felt like GM has gone in the wrong direction especially in the interior design department. I'll take my '02 Sierra's interior over any '07+ GM/Chevy any day. Then there was the ride quality. The newer 2-wheel drive GMs rode rougher than my old 4-wheel drive Sierra. Compared to the new F-150s, there was no comparison, Ford wins that category by a long shot. Once I test drove a 2013 FX4 ecoboost, it was a done deal. There was no way I was not buying a F-150. Because of color options, I ultimately decided on a blue jean metallic XLT 4X4 5.0 (love the v8 sound and don't tow 10,000 lbs) and I couldn't be happier. I still love my '02 Z71 and use it to drive to work but at 189k miles now the problems are starting to pile up. I just don't like to bring the new F-150 in the dirty work environment. I'll let the GMC take that abuse right now.
Same here, to an extent. Didn't put that in my original story because I didn't want to turn this into a political discussion, but I wouldn't have found out about the superior quality of the Ford in the first place if it weren't for the way they handled the bailout. Gained tons of respect for Ford and loss respect for GM and Dodge. Then all the above events took place and it seems I have converted.

The Ford interior blew me away. The pricing was better. The power was greater. After having a Z71 I went back to Ford and don't plan on leaving any time soon.

I chose ford because the exterior looks sick as heck. The other just looked to bulky. And the interior was top notch.

Picked the ford because it was so much better than the competition when the ecoboost was out in '11. My Chevy was totaled from an engine fire and I absolutely fell in love with the truck when I drove it. I still love it and think its better than the competition.
As far as trim levels go, I saw a black FX4 with 20" wheels in traffic about 4 months before my Chevy went up, I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to have a truck just like that.
