HELP! My 4 wheel drive works when it pleases!
I have a 2006 FX4 Supercab and am having a 4 wheel drive issue that I was wondering if anyone else has experienced.
I was in upstate NY on Friday and needed to get up a snowy driveway, but when I clicked it into 4 wheel....nothing. It never engaged and I got stuck, slid off the driveway, and took my mirror off on a tree. I was
mad! The truck sat there overnight and when I tried it the next morning, it clicked right in!
This has happened before 2 other times, where the 4 wheel drive doesn't work only to click right in the next morning after sitting all night, and the only thing that seems to be in common with all these occasions is that the first two times, I drove for a hour before trying to engage and this last time 4 hours before trying to engage. Does a hot car have any effect?
Can anyone at all help me as I would greatly appreciate it!!!!
