My truck sat in the transmission shop since Monday. Getting a full rebuild...

That sucks, did your transmission fail or are you getting it upgraded?

It started slipping. $2586.40 is how much it's gonna cost me. When I dropped it off he said 7 had came in last week for rebuilds and 5 of the 7 were 4x4's of the 04-08 year range. Also said heat was the cause of failure.

Yikes. Who'd think you could overheat one in a snow bank... I was told it was my fluid because we haven't changed it since we bought the truck with 108,000 miles and its got almost 145,000 now (bad I know we kinda forgot about it) and it probably hadn't been changed before we got it. Needless to say I'll be changin it on a regular basis when i get it back.
