David... - FWIW we bought the XLT listed below with an 8ft bed and camper shell so we could camp in it. Has worked well so far. We camp one or two nights then hotel. Pretty economical and don't have to deal with trailer. Wife said she did not want another house to clean anyway.

Installed the backflip bed cover from my 2011 fx2 onto my new 2016 xlt ecoboost screw sport and also did some Ford rear well liners....

pulled my factory chrome halogen headlights and swapped for some ANZO headlights and LEDs
