My truck and I did this 2 days ago...

So... my 15 year old daughter asks "Dad, will you take me to ride Skip?"

On the outside... I reply "Sure Sweetie, anything for you."

On the inside... I'm thinking 'Hell yeah, I get to drive my truck again!'

Could be ice. We've had similar weather here in eastern Canada and some very cold weather coming tomorrow and into the weekend. My clunk last spring was heard and felt through the steering wheel. Turned out to be my worse dear....the truck needed a full electronic steering rack replacement. I dealt with it for a few months thinking it was winter weather (snow/ice) related but not the case. Let's hope yours is a simple issue.

You bring up a very good point. I'll take it in to be roadforce balanced tomorrow.

several years ago we got a major snow storm. 27" in about 12 hours. Shut the town down and Lake County Illinois shut down the roads to all "non-esential personel". After the kids and I dug ourselves out, we loaded up the snow blower into the truck and went to help out some friends and family that we knew couldn't dig out.
Ended up driving down several roads that had not been plowed yet and played in a few parking lots....
The next morning the drive to work was all but 25-30 mph...but by the time I went to go home the roads were clear and it was sunny and 30*.
As I got to the expressway and hit 50 mph the whole truck shook...violently..scared the crap out of me. 45 was my max.
I pulled into a parking lot and crawled under to see if I could spot anything...snow everywhere..especially packed in the inner side of the wheels.
I hit up a power wash and cleaned it all out and no more issues, smooth as always.

Going on my first "road trip" with my truck today, about 160 miles each way with several miles driving around the area while I'm there. I'm kind of excited about it, looking forward to the MPG numbers (I know it will get even better after break-in).

Was this the storm right before the Super Bowl? Or the blizzard of 2012? Either way I remember it. Hahaha, my brother and I cleared our driveway throughout the night and continued to drink. Never had to go anywhere. And it was before I had my truck. Last year's snowfall was fun, though.

Well, called my dealer this morning, and can't get the truck in until next Saturday. But, through our conversation, it sounds like a sway bar bushing. As soon as he said that, I remembered on other vehicles I've owned, that had happened, and yup, same sound, and no feeling in the wheel. This getting olde sux, I should have thought of that. Hope that's what it is, at any rate.
