(1) What did you and your truck do today?

For a while now, I've been having trouble with a new but faulty valve stem on the '04, and been thinking the same tire was leaking around the rim. Well, after getting off work to a total flat at 11 last night, then waking up to another, I swapped the tire for the spare (mismatched rims really don't look good ) and discovered a hole. I don't trust the spare tire much (I think it's stock, ie an 11 year old tire) and it's underinflated, so I threw the leaking tire in my '02 and picked up the little parts to fix the valve stem, did so, then took it to a gas station to fnd their air pump out of order, so went to another station, and plugged it.
Back on the truck, it's down a fair bit, but It wasn't quite full at the air pump and now having the weight of the truck on it, I figured it just needed more air, so went out for a bite to eat with my dad....upon return, it's almost flat. Long story short, ended up fixing an error with the valve stem repair, hand pumped it enough to limp to the nearby gas station, and noticed it still hissing while filling it. found a second small hole. Thankfully, that was a feasible fix while still on the truck. I can't say I'm thrilled about having 2 plugs in the tire, but it'll have to do for now.
I don't want to go near any tire work again for a while

I think it will be a fun cruiser. It is by no means fast but I'll do a few things to it to make it a little quicker. All my previous mustangs have been more for going straight though so I might switch it up for once and make this one handle so I can do some auto cross events with it.

Drove her to the cottage to take out the piers and boat lift. Then, on my way hone discovered a trail. Took it for s few hundred feet and came to a clearing. Looked like somebody's camp ground.

Ah well, they're a blessing and a cure you can't do without. I know one thing, it's much more exercise lugging around Ole blue's shoes than when I change my granddad's tires for him on his Chevy aveo! Getting a flat out on the road in a huge lifted truck must be fun!
