Returned from a week on the 4x4 beach on the Outer Banks of NC
North of Corolla on the Outer Banks, several communities are nestled in amongst the dunes and are only accessible by 4x4. Put the F150 Platinum edition through its paces, driving in the sand.
One week of driving on the sand, averaging about 10 miles a day. It got pretty harrowing, especially at night and the worst was Friday night and
again on Saturday morning due to the astronomical high tides which caused a lot of the beach to flood, forcing me into the narrow paths behind the dunes.
Never got stuck once but did help out some guy who tried to drive his Nissan Murano in the deep sand. His mistake and one most people new to the sand is not airing down. I went to 18 PSI and all was well. Was prepared in advance (thanks to the F150 forum) with ****** strap and the rear tow hook mod.
Most people driving crossovers or sedan based AWD faired pretty poorly.
This was my real first off-road experience in any road vehicle. I had a blast! Here is a picture of the truck in front of the house.

no no no his interests are listed guns trucks and muscle cars. That means the truck comes before the car as it's listed before the car. Imagine how many guns you could get though. Lol

Finally got a saturday to myself so I went into work and installed the 2.5" level on the front. It's been sitting on the floor in the back seat for 3 months lol. Afterward I did an alignment and adjusted the toe.

Those are in no specific order... Muscle cars were my first love though! Sadly I took the mustang back after keeping it a good portion of Friday and Saturday. It was a lot of fun just not practical for a daily driver especially when I'm constantly using the truck bed.

Roadside emergency practice setup
Practiced roadside emergency setup in parking lot. Reflective magnetic signs on tailgate and magnetic flashing amber light on roof.
