Talking Whatever we wanted

We started by visiting the family farm and checking the crops, then continued to the desert area where i shot rabbits and searched for cow horns (to hollow out and make into drinking horns) then hit the farm on the way back to home and picked up beer.

Is this the OEM kicker sub the fits under the seat? Does it need an amp or does the factory head unit actually have enough power to run it?

Yes it is that sub. It has a 200W amp built into the enclosure which powers it nicely. There is a YouTube video where kicker explains this setup kinda next generation sound system if you ask me. It's an OEM part with warranty that doesn't void anything. It also has a ridiculously low draw on your vehicle. As I get older I realize the stock look with quality sound is more what I want then full customization of my interior for glass shaking bass. This setup gave me that.

Also if you buy the full kit it comes with a DSP that the factory harness plugs into. That mounts under driver dash along side of Parking brake pedal. Completely tucked away. Speakers are crisp and clean, sub makes up for the bass. Search rogel ford on here. I got the $1200 setup you see on some sites for less that $500 from him. He also sells just the sub/amp enclosure for under $300 I believe.

Road trip today. 1.5 hours there, 1.5 hours back. Got home and installed my weather tech floor mats that I got for my birthday. This weekend I'll be changing the plugs and coils and installing the security system and remote access and taking it to the dealer on Monday for activation.
