I got me an oil change today. Have a question if anyone could answer thank. I was wonder how long some of you go before getting your oil changed i try to get it at every 3000 or as soon as i get the chance. my last oil change was 3500 miles ago so i had it changed today but on the truck it said i still had 65% remaining. So im trying to see if i can go a little bit longer with out changing it.

As a service advisor at a Ford dealer, we recommend your first oil change between 8 and 10,000km's so 9,000kms optimally. After that, every 8,000km's. This also depends on the year of the vehicle, older than 06 and we recommend every 6,000km's. Time is also a factor, oil should be changed regardless of mileage every 6 months.

Since it was raining I thought it would be a good day to leave my power boards down so the rain could wash them off. Yeah I'm lazy.

It a 2013 f150 STX 2wd I only have about 7650 miles on it. It's the 5.0 I just don't wanna wait to long and start burning oil iv always did my changes between 3k and 4k miles. I'm putting synthetic oil in it.

Used the 3M kit to polish my headlights and foglights and re-did my grill overlay (sorry for the pics, the sun is beating down on the passenger side):

Did you spray the headlights with UV protectant when you were done?

I am headed tomorrow to get some high gloss spar urethane and mineral spirits and mix it 1:1 and wipe it on. I am not 100% impressed with the 3M kit either. I may just use 600 grit, followed by 1500 grit, then the above mentioned mix. I have seen results using this method and it looks simply amazing. Just though I would give the 3M kit a chance. It did about 70% of what I was hoping for. FWIW, I used Meguiars Plasti-X polish on them after the 3M kit, made it look a lot better than the 3M rubbing compound did.

Good to know. I am ordering 2 new headlights for my 2005 Magnum (Tasca). One is crazed, and one is broke.

Dodge seems to have the worst headlight hazing problem. I am doing the method I mentioned in my previous post (600, 1500, then mix) on my 2002 Grand Caravan before my trucks lights. I have faith in the system and results I have seen, but I thought the 3M kit would have been better. I followed the directions to a T.
