I think your right. I painted my brake calipers on the car last year with this stuff and they still look like new when washed up. Believe the temp rating is something crazy like 950

The VHT stuff looks nice but they say you need to cure them at like 200-300F. Personally I think the exhaust heat should be enough, we 'll see.

VHT is good, barbecue paint also works well. Plasti Dip is good for just over 300. It's holding up well on mine

I might start with PD. Keep it simple, go back later and paint it if I don't like the PD.

registered the 89 F250 (I may drive this or my mom's 97 expy while my 88 is down).

20 below 0 this morning (without wind-chill), froze my *** off trying to start my 2010 Chevy 2500HD work truck, which would not start. So what did I do with my F150? Warmed it up, started the seat heaters (gotta love those *** warmers), and drove my FX4 to work today in the snow.
