So did you just drill your bike mount to the top? How do you have that mounted and how do you have the rear mount. I have a tonneau cover and I ride also. I just got the truck. I was trying to find a way to not have to use a rear bike rack.

For the rear attachment since there's not much clearance when you fold the bed cover in between the panels, ( i don't want dents on the cover) I used picture frame hangars attached to the cover by a rivet, then I painted them aswel. I attach the rear wheel with a skinny piece of Velcro trough the loop of the picture hangar to secure it in place and it worked beautifully. See below.

This is how it looks all complete.

I drove with the bike mounted for close to 7 hours. The wind and drafts from the semis moved it quite a bit but it held strong. And there were no bends on the cover or any damage. However, I don't like having to look back to check on the bike so I'm thinking of adding a piece of flat steel atop the cover to stiffen the fork mounts. I'll post pick when I do.
Hope this helps beetlevegas.

Hey beetlevegas! First off congrats on your new truck. Now to answer your Qs I used 3 4mm rivets and two steel screws with a washer on each end and a self locking nut to attach the fork mounts to the cover. Then I spray painted them to match the black finish. Yes they are straight on the bedcover. Se bellow pics of both top and bottom.
