You know you are getting old when the stuff that teenagers do annoy you.....just shake your head and move on, no sense developing high blood pressure and ulcers over it. Is it retarded? Yes. Is it your money? No. Everyone likes something different or we would all be driving stock trucks that are the same color with no mods.

I'm from SC and my brother's friend had a 90 something dodge he wanted to lift but it was hard to find a lift for his truck for sale for some reason. So his parents bought him a 2013 dodge to fix that problem. The kids nowadays here (I'm 21 so anyone under that) are stuck up and go for that look for the "southern girls" to impress them.

The girls aren't any better, they say they're true country girls at heart but 95% have never fired a gun, driven a truck, have any idea what a duelly is or get grossed out with dirt or grease on their hands. Thankfully my girl knows and has done all those things, we go shooting, tend a huge garden, learned how to drive in a duelly and helps me work on my truck so I found a keeper haha but those girls have to get their monogram on everything, name brand stickers and think drinking and spending daddy's money is what a southern girl is. It's all disappointing really. Sorry for the long rant I just agree with you and I live here so its a daily hassle for me. End rant.
Good call young man, you hit the nail on the head. It's the old saying, "Little boy wants to be a cowboy, but doesn't know which side of the horse to get on". I just have to shake my head when I see these morons.

Make me sad to see the direction my home state is headed.

Where are you at in our great state? Don't get me wrong, there are some young guys under me that do have the proper respect for elders and women and are nice young men. Its funny that the majority of the good ones tend to got butt whoopings when they were bad instead of time outs. Funny, knowing when to properly hit your kids actually has a positive effect on them...who knew?

You see it more as you get closer to the coast. Up here, while we do have those idiots, it's much less common.

Proud to say, I'm not one of them. 21 yrs old and not a ***** (or at least I think so)

I think that trend is right with the coast, my old roommate (did not work out at all) was from Conway. Parents paid for everything, never did anything for himself. I asked if he had all his school books for the semester...he called his mom to see if she bought them all. Few months later (after complaining about having to take out the trash, clean his own dishes, etc.) he complained that his parents were going to make him start paying the taxes on his car (was a 2008 explorer, bought brand new for him when he got his license). He doesn't have to use his money to pay, he just has to use their card but they want him to do it physically. I don't think he has a dime to his name, when I bought my truck I put $4k down payment so I would have low enough payments I could afford and not have to work while at school.

The kids from the coast whose parents have shore line houses are the ones that tend to be the ones this thread is about.

Titan, I just outside Charlotte in the little town of Concord. You're correct, I see more and more of these trucks as I get to the flat lands then onto the coast. The biggest deal now is that all the kids that got a participation trophy are entering the workforce, and want to be the boss in three weeks. Always goes badly for them when they realize they have moved into the real world where 2nd place is just the first loser.

Just outside of Charlotte huh? I passed through Charlotte(CLT) the other day.....sat in one of those rocking chairs at the airport watching the Herc's take off and land from the base.
