What can I do to help MPG!!

I don't understand what you mean, could you explain? When you are out in flat open country, away from civilization, logging miles, unless you are a professional hyper-miler, how can driving with your foot produce better results than cruise control? I know that if you are intimately familiar with the road ahead, you can compensate for hills and valleys ahead, but that falls under the heading of hyper-mileing. the EPA doesn't use those techniques when figuring averages for a particular vehicle.

cruise control might lower your mpg on hilly terrain because it will downshift to maintain speed going up hill (accelerate), and downshift when going downhill to maintain speed (engine braking).
On flat straight land however, it will most likely help.

As previously mentioned, flat land and cruise are good together.
Cruise is relentless to hold speed. On hilly roads that don't necessarily require downshift, holding throttle and allowing speed to vary is much more economical than holding speed. You can't always do that with traffic but I try to whenever possible.

Find your trucks sweet spot (within reason) and drive it there, I have a 2009 xlt straight cab long bed 3:55 5.4 4x4. I can get anywhere from 17 mpg at 80 mph. to 22 at 55mph. That is the reason I added the (in reason), there is no way I could take a long trip at 55mph.
