What is the best time of the year to buy an F150?
I'm curious when the community thinks is the best time to save on buying a new F150. Is it during the holidays, summer, winter, Feb., etc.?
I've heard of Feb being the best time to buy but haven't found much.

The consensus seems to be the very end of the calendar year or early into the new year, when the new model year comes out and the dealers are practically giving away the previous model year. But it'll all come down to rebates and offers, which change throughout the year.

There are many, many buying threads.
As Martian noted, you will get the best REBATES at this time of year on last year's model.
However, you will find the LEAST CHOICE (on 2016s), due to declining inventory. Want something special, it may be hard to find.
Opportunities vary by region. Go to www.ford.com/trucks/f150/2016/pricing-and-incentives/ and put in your zip, then put in zips for other locations and you will be amazed. Depends where the excess inventory is.
Example - SE Michigan has up to $6,550 in "total savings" plus $750 owner loyalty plus $500 Ford Credit Bonus Cash.
Eastern Massachusetts has up to $10,550 in "total savings" plus $750 owner loyalty.
Beverly Hills has 0% for 60 months plus $4,800 "in total savings" plus $750 loyalty.
"Total Savings" often includes at least one thing, usually an XLT package discount, that is in fact already on the sticker and is NOT a rebate. $2,000 302A Luxury Chrome Package.
It matters where you LIVE (where the truck is registered), not where you buy. Buy in LA, but it is registered in Massachusetts, you get the Mass rebates.

Not so sure about time of year, but last few days of the month MIGHT be a good time. Might not. Most salesman need to meet a quota. If you catch someone in need of 1 more sale to get a bonus they will deal with you. If they have already made quota they won't.

Usually after the holidays its slow. Previous year closeout at the end of Jan or Feb should be about the best. More discounts usually on the XLT models. Buyer's with good credit or the cash usually can get the best deals.

Bought a 2016 SCrew XLT on 12/28 last month, took around $7k in rebates/incentives: no trade in, no owner loyalty (new Ford buyer). Additional $3.5k off MSRP from dealer for total $10.5k off MSRP ($40k) before TTL.
From now on, I'm always going to buy last year's model when getting a new car... end of the year + end of the month + end of the week (maaaybe) + end of the day

If you want a current year model, I've always found June 30th is the day. It's the last day of the month, and the last day of the quarter. If you want a "left over"(less to choose from), then the farthest you can get into the following year is best. I bought my current ride('13 FX4) on March 1st of 2014 and I got $14,000.00 off of MSRP. It all depends on what you want to buy, and how picky you are about getting exactly what you want.

Wow they sure change them quickly. Was looking at them yesterday and they had Customer Loyalty programs on the 2016, but not anymore.
