Vibration 2014 FX4

sorry for the late update.
Second dealer balanced the drive shaft. Still no better.
Second dealer balanced the drive shaft. Still no better.
After lodging a complaint to the head office of Ford Canada about the tech and service Manager telling me (its due to the drive shaft being out of balance. BUT. If I fix it. It will still be there as its a 2wheel drive and I carry approx 300lbs of tools in it every day. Its not meant to carry a lot of weight.)
The Ford dealer also told me they wont repair drive shafts only replace. ($1,300.00)
I recieved a complaint File #from Ford head office. They asked me to contact another dealer with the complaint #.
Second dealer I called told me he can easily balance the original drive shaft all labour charges total of $260.00cdn.
Going to pick the truck up tonight. HOPEFULLY. Everything is ok.

Yes it is still riding smooth. It could be better but because it's a supercrew I do not think it is not going to be as smooth as my regular cab that I had before. Still loving my truck though and I'm very happy with the new tires.

I have a 12 FX4 5.0 SCREW shortbox with 15000 on it. Mine vibrates between 55-85 mph. It's been doing that since it had around 1500 miles on it. Thought it was my tires. I have 18" GY Wrangler Silent Armours on it. Had them rebalanced twice with no luck. I love my truck, but the vibration on the highway is getting annoying!

Of those who are having issues, do most own a 157 inch wheelbase truck?

I have a 2014 crew 5.5ft bed XLT 4x4 I have the same issue when I bought my truck I bought it from a dealer that was not local to me so they drove the truck to me. When I got the truck and drove around the shaking was so bad that you could watch the bed of the truck vibrate from side to side. I took it to a dealer here that's local they replaced all four of my Goodyear SRA's with new Goodyear SRA's. The vibration was much better but it still there. So I had the tires balanced again didn't get any better. So I bought some new rims and Michelin MS two tires. The vibration is still there and it's throughout the whole driving range so it's there from 30 all the way up to 90.

I've been fighting a vibration since I bought my 2014 FX4 on October 9th of this year.
I don't feel like I'm any closer to a fix than I was six weeks ago.
If you search for the treads I started, you'll find it. I've documented the progress, or lack thereof, since day one.

UGH!
This sounds terrible! I bought a 14 SCREW, 5.5 bed a month ago and on my test drive I pointed out the vibration... the kid salesman said "it's common after sitting for so long, drive it for 500 miles and then it should be fine".
I'm a sucker so I agreed.
It hadn't gotten ANY better 2 weeks later when I replaced the factory wheels and tires, with 35.4" Hankook AT's and 17" Helo wheels!
I don't really notice any of that original vibration... BUT.... a 6" lift makes it stiffer and I feel the road a little more. They used "balance beads" to balance the new rubber and I have ZERO experience with them so I cannot say either way, but if I set my cruise at exactly 60mph I get a little vibe but not much.
I love my truck so much I'll live with it... if I wanted a butter smooth ride I would have bought a Lexus.
DON'T take that as me dismissing the seriousness of your very real issue! Just in my case it's not so bad that it's a bother considering it's a lifted truck
I hope you all get fixed!

Some chassis have natural frequency vibrations which occur at certain speeds. The original Miata's have what owners call the 65mph shuffle. From my own experience with pickups, the longer the wheelbase the more the truck seems to buck from the road surface not being level.
