Default Unknown button in truck please help!

Hey I'm new to his forum but I just bought a used 2010 F150 XLT it's got 4x4. There is a button on the left side of the steering wheel that appears to be disabled but I can't figure out what in the heck it is for or was for. I've pushed it and neither of the lights come on and no lights come on when the truck is running either. I think I attached a photo of the button in question let me know your thoughts on what it is.

Welcome to the forum Karl. That's definitely something a previous owner installed. You could ask your salesperson for the name of the previous owner, and give them a call. Or your salesman could contact them for you. Good luck.

this reminds me of my dads poor man anti theft device from back in early 90's, he had a camry which was a popular chop shop car, he was afraid his would get stolen, so he installed a button in the back of one of the cubby holes, you had to press it down and hold it down while starting the car. When he sold it the new owner was all kinds of happy about it.
