I keep reading out the tuners you can get to really wake the 5.0 up.
My questions are
Can you revert back to the factory turn at any time?
Can the Ford service department tell you were running a tuner even after you went back to the OEM tune?
What is the recommended tuner model/brand for the 5.0?

You can revert back at any point if you'd like.
And it's all going to depend on the dealer on how they act about it. I've always tuned my vehicle back when I take it in for service so there aren't any issues. And it's more work for them to figure out if you've ever tuned your vehicle. Last time I heard the process constituted them pulling the whole ECU and plugging it into a proprietary computer that not every dealer has.
5 Star Tuning is what I am running on my. 5.0. And I love it. They have great customer service. And are very experienced.

Agreed i run 5 star with the sct x4 tuner on my platinum 6.2l what a monster and luckily i know all the service guys at my autonation dealer here in valencia, they took it out for a test drive the other day and my tech came in and was amazed how much more throttle responsive it was and loved the WOT shifting. 5 star all the way. Stage3motorsports.com has them with lifetime tunes and they have great customer service as well as 5 star

Yes the dealer can tell if it was tuned. They have to dig deep to see but they can. They just have to look for it to see.
I'm running a Unleashed Tuning 87 Performance Tune and love it. I have run a MPT 87 Performance Street tune in the past and although it makes a tiny bit more power than the Unleashed the Unleashed acts completely like stock until you push down the skinny pedal. The MPT just seamed to push the truck a lot more and not feel as smooth as the Unleashed.
With a little more data logging I believe that the Unleashed could make the same power as the MPT. The smoothness of the Unleashed makes it better in my book even though it makes a few less HP.

5 Star is the custom tune. SCT is the actual device that allows the computer to be flashed. I have the SCT V4 with like 6 custom 5 Star tunes. Went through stage3motorsports.com to purchase.
