Storage
Looking for some ideas on storing the necessities, live in a winter climate so tow rope , booster cables, small shovel, and some small emergency tools.
I was thinking I could just fire it all under the back seat but was hoping for a more organized or contained method

Underseat bin either purchased or DIY (many examples around here). I keep all that stuff in mine and it's tucked under there nicely. For bed storage I'd look at the swing case which swings nicely out of the way of the main cargo area.

Just made my own underseat storage thanks to help of other threads here. You can go really simple or fancy. Cheap to do and takes a few hours tops.
Other forms of storage (underseat or swing cases) you can actually purchase are overpriced plastic molds.

If you plan on using underneath your backseat a storage, instead of spending $100 plus on a plastic bin, buy a tupper ware plastic bin. Can be had at Wally World for about $8!

I would do something under the seat...get stuck with some torque on your frame and you won't be able to open your tailgate. This really is only a pain if you have some kind of tonneau. Happened to me once in my Dakota (fiberglass tonneau) and my dad once in his f250 (roll up).

My gear is in a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot. Its cheap and totally air tight. In fact I have started storing a lot of things in these buckets.
