Should I do a flush on my 150s transmission? It has 107,000 miles on it and not sure if the fluid has been changed.

if its dark brown it hasn't been changed recently, bright pink is brand new. Mine was flushed before I got it and seems to run fine (although there are people who will say flushing is a no-no). If its somewhere in between you should drop the pan and change the filter (just to be safe). good luck in your decision

If the fluid is pink and sweet don't bother with a flush. Drop the pan, drain the old fluid, drain the torque converter, replace the filter, replace the pan with a new gasket, refill with Mercon V (or Chrysler ATF+4 if you want to be adventurous) and drive it.

with that many miles never flushed, do not flush it no matter what even if it does look dirty. just drop the pan, change the filter, and fill back up.

What about me? 61k miles, fluid is still pink.
I think flushing is all about preventative maintenance and not waiting till it turns brown but that's me.

Isn't the flush not even on the schedule till like 90k anyway? 107k isn't that far passed the mark... I just had mine done around 87k.

I think I'll be safe and drop the pan and change the fluid, Knowing my luck I'd do the flush and my tranny would have issues.

sure go for it, but that many miles you have a very high chance of the flush breaking some crap loose and clogging a valve. which = rebuild the tranny. Sometimes it will work fine but the higher the miles, the more risk you are taking. Transmission flushing is a touchy subject around most automotive groups/forums, many people have been screwed over by it.

seafoam it and FLUSH it.....

I always opt for the chemical flush when I can and I have never killed a tranny....

only those that slip after a flush had issues prior and the flush just uncovered it more...if you dont take care of your trans it will let you down...
