I recently bought a 1996 F150 with manual 4x4. Shifting from 2H to 4H is no problem and shifting down to neutral gives me no issues. However, shifting from neutral to 4L makes a hard clunking noise and shifting back up from 4L to neutral is grinding gears. The tranny is in neutral and the brake is on. Any ideas on what the issue is?
