Default Think I can go do some off roading/mudding?

Hey y'all I'm new to the forum. Got a '96 F150 swb 4x4. It's got 31" Kumho Mohave AT tires and stock everything else. I really wanna go do some light mudding and off road but I'm a little worried about how my truck is gonna handle it with no lift or leveling kit and these soft looking tires.

Who here has taken their stock F150 out in the mud etc? Any issues?

I wanna take real good care of this truck but I also wanna have fun with it

Thanks!

Good looking truck. Sure you could make it in the mud but I'd go with a friend who can winch you out if you get stuck. If you like mud Id look at some m/t tires.

i'd almost feel bad taking that truck in the mud, it's starting to look like a nice classic... but yeah, take a friend with you, put 'er in 4x4 and go for it!

and if it looks too deep, it probably is

Just use your brain, know your limits, and go for it!

you should be fine in light mud area's. like everyone else has said take a friend with you just incase. and also figure out you're trucks limits. im not saying take it through a bogg or anything. just figure out how much mud you can go through. but keep it in 4x4 all the time, dont take it out. or else you will get you're self stuck and then sink.

Clint Eastwood was right...
'A Man's got to know his limitations'...
Applies to driving off road, mud, snow, rocks and water ect...
Better than taking a friend, take two friends with 4X4s and a cell phone.

go have fun with it in the mud. I had the same year with just a body lift in it. I did everything with that truck and could not kill it or hurt it. 5 years of mud running, and trail riding and never broke anything on it.

Yeah it sure is a beautiful truck, the man I bought it from might have a heart attack if he saw it covered in mud.... but giving your baby some 4x4 time is just part of lovin' and caring for it!
