Exclamation Trailer wiring

Hey all, I'm new to the forum. I've been sifting through the threads all day looking for information on trailer wiring. I did not discover the info I was looking for.
First, Thank you for any help you all can provide.

So, I have a factory 4-flat installed on my 2006 F150 Supercrew XLT. From there, a 6 pole round is attached. I am trying to convert to a 7 blade rv plug to tow a 23ft travel trailer with electronic trailer brakes. The connection is available already for the trailer brake controller and the blue wire is available in the rear vehicle harness. I was able to splice into the blue trailer brake wire and orange "hot" wire then wire the factory 4-way and grounded correctly.

The problem I am having specifically is: No brake lights; the turn signals act like hazard flashers, and when I actually turn hazards on the brakes work. I am trying to figure out where my problem lies. Is the actual connections on the plug (all appears to be correct)? Also, in the center of the plug is a blue wire that leads out to the ground port on the 4-flat, could this be the issue?
