Could it be a issue? I mean it seemed to run fine, it was a little rough at one point but I figured that was because it has sat and it might need plugs?

Here was the guy.

But seriously...who trades their vehicle for another of the same year and with THAT much mileage? I would rather trade + cash for a vehicle with 40k LESS miles.

He has a bunch of paperwork on some work that's been done to it like brand new transmision, and he's throwing in 2000 cash on the trade. But your very right.

Hell no. That's a lot of mileage and you don't know anything about how it's been cared for. Don't want to show the Carfax? Walk the F away immediately. That's pretty much a rule. Hell, my dealership has the Autocheck (same thing as Carfax) on every single car already listed online.

Yeah he says his truck won't sell because of the aftermarket stuff, and mine will because it's stock but I think he's just feeding a line of bull.

That is a line of bull. We sell trucks with minor mods like that all the time. Only ghetto-modded trucks don't sell, or ones that are very heavily modified.

That honestly has bad deal written all over it. Something it wrong with that truck. It's much nicer than yours, option-wise, and they're worth about the same with the mileage difference. So it should be costing YOU $2-3k to swap trucks, not him. He's basically "giving up" $4-5k to get a hold of your truck. Walk away.

Yeah and I just thought about it, the exhaust is so loud that you can't hear if it has cam phaser issues or anything like that.

I have long tube headers, no cats, and a small muffler on mine (it's loud as hell), and you can still hear the motor at idle. The phaser issue is apparent while idling too.

Okay, well maybe it's just me that thought it was to loud, the engine didn't have and odd sounds coming from it.
