Sure . . . going down a hill at 60mph?

I hate when people post those screens showing that.

POST the QUAD screen where we can see how many miles/period that was over, and gallons used.

Posting that single screen shows nothing and is pretty well useless for stating mpg because it doesn't show HISTORY...

I can do that in mine and make it show 30mpg. Yeahhhhhh. But if it makes you feel good doing that......

Thanks for the review, OP. Surprised to hear your economy in the EB was that bad and that it is that good in the ED. Fortunately, my fuel economy has been pretty much right on the epa numbers in my ecoboost. But I would definitely consider the ED for my next truck. Especially if diesel prices hold steady at about $.20 less than regular, as they have been here.

I'd love to see a 6 month review w/ economy history or something like that!

I'm sure the ED will treat you well! Always had diesels back in France, there's no reason you should have more or less issues with this one than the EB.

Enjoy!

That was part of my reason for sticking with a Ford. you're just paying more upfront to feel a bit better at the pumps. Also, there isn't really much to compare against in the rest of the Dodge fleet for resale, and the regular half tons have the worst resale around here. it's not a cummins, so it may not have the same following for higher re-sale as the HD's.

Ford will have to step up with the MPG's though, we'll see what they can do.

Guess he got tired of working on his own Ecoboost at the dealership! LOL
He never owned a Ecoboost, he was looking at one. He bought an Eco diesel. I'm pretty sure the fact that he had a falling out with Ford left him jaded that kinda had a impact on his decision.

Not to mention the extra $$$ on maintenance.

Compare the 2015 F-150 to the Ram, the Ram is way behind on every detail in my opinion..The extra cost of clear diesel, you will have to run it for along time to get the $$$ back..Ford is coming with a diesel in 2016 for the guys that want 1..
Then there is resale..We owned a Ram before..took a beating at trade in time...
But good luck anyway...
Ford is #1 in truck sales for ever..Ram #3 and always will be...

I swear he had a video under a year ago asking his viewers if he should by a F150 with a EcoBoost, it was white. He had a contest. Here is the end result of his decision.

I tried to find the one where he shows us the one he was looking at.
But the video is gone.

Did he have a EcoBoost in another vehicle?
I only started watching his videos under a year ago.

Maybe makuloco2000 can answer for himself.

Looking for a replacement for my work truck and test drove an EcoDiesel. My unofficial 0 to 60 was just under 8 seconds, pretty much in line with the big diesels.

Also was checking the 1500 diesel forum, GDE has a tune out that increases response, hp and torque and a lot of the guys are posting a 2 to 4 mpg increase, many hitting over 30 mpg on the highway.

Much more research ahead, I still have a few months.
