Tpms wheel swap
Today I swapped out my 2013 Lariat chrome wheels for a set of 2014 Limited wheels. I'm asking to confirm that I'll have to have the TPMS reset right?
And, it is still possible to recalibrate the speedo on the 13 models correct? The tire size is just 1.2" I went from 31" to 32.2" tires
Thank you
Let me add this note: I left the TPMS in the old wheels and the new wheels have their OEM TPMS from the truck I got them from. Just wanted to add this so there is no confusion

Who doesn't want a F150?

I'm not sure it it's the norm, but my winters (Raptor's with TOYO GSi-5's) came from another truck (2014). I just bolted them on and drove. No sensor fault light came on. I put over 10,000 miles on them. When I bolted on my 2015 20's (take-off's), they set the fault within a few days. I knew they were different sensors and wanted to see how long it took to trigger the fault.
So, you might not trigger the fault either.

When I rotated my tires I was able to reset the TPMS myself. The procedure was outlined in the owners manual.

Blown F150
I'm hoping that's the what happens in my case. Mine's a 13 and I put 14 limited wheels on it. I called my service dept and he told me in most cases the 13/14 usually don't set off the fault. I've read on this site where the the fault doesn't happen until the vehicle is away from the OEM wheels for a few hours. My stock rims are sitting in my garage right now. So I'm wondering if they are the reason. I'll find out tomorrow when I'll be 60 miles away from them for the day

Our sensors go dormant and don't become active again until you surpass 20mph. I doubt the wheels in your garage are having any effect as they should be actively connecting to your truck.

Well I drove about 125 miles today and it all seems well. Probably just jinx myself. So the TPMS seems good but someone put a golf ball thru the moonroof at the golf course today. Nice right? Amazing. No one owned up to it. But the sensors are working is the good news. the cash I saved by not having someone reset them I'll now spend on the deductible
