Default Towing Feedback with the 2015 and the 5.0

Any feedback towing with the "new" 2015 5.0? I hope to get a 2015 and am not sure as to the 3.5 Eco or the 5.0. I tow a 30' travel trailer that weighs about 6500lbs loaded and has a dry tongue weight of 850lbs. I have read some comments from EB owners but not many with the 2015 5.0. I currently have an 02' with the 5.4 and 7700 payload package. Pulls ok but does slow down on hills. I drive mainly in Wisconsin so the hills are not that big! Appreciate any and all feedback.

Pete86: I am waiting on my 15 to come in and ordered a v8. I will let you know as soon as my truck shows up. My guess is it will do just fine.

I personally have a 5.0 and really like it. I had a 5.4 in my 2008 f150 and its vastly better than the 5.4 was.
I have 3.73 gears which helps a bit to.
It pulls hard but at a slightly higher rpm than an ecoboost engine will.
Being a fan of a V8 engine that was my choice.
But i do not think you can really go wrong with either one.
Have you asked your dealer to take 1 of each for a test drive, and go home and hook up your trailer, try each. The biggest difference is where you make your torque numbers in tbe rpm range IMO.
The 5.0 loves to rev and it does not seem to hurt it at all to be held to the floor going up steep hills. I tow a lot! Am very happy with it! That said i am sure i could be happy if i had the ecoboost 3.5 in it instead.

Thanks Westsideguy. I never thought of asking about hitching up. Worst thing that can happen is they say no. I actually like the EB but got a bit concerned when I heard about the gas in the oil issues.

I don't think you will have any regrets if you get a 5.0.
There are a few that had cylinder out of round issues it seems....but they seem to have solved that the last couple years.
I have much faith in the 5.0 especially after how many i see running after market super chargers and still they take the abuse just fine.
The boosted 5.0 in my mustang has many hard miles on it and runs perfectly. If it does grenade because you got a lemon engine in the first few years its under warranty anyhow, unless you do something to void the warranty like say put an edelbrock on it....but dang boost is addictive....especially in a stang

I pull with a 13 5.0 and love it. I pull a GN horse trailer that is right at my max of 7500 to 7800 pounds. It does just fine.
