Default Towing an 06 F-150

Need some advice. I have to go get my son's 06 F-150. Question is can I tow it on a dolly without removing the drive shaft. It is an automatic w/ 5.4.
This will be about a 6 hour ride. He is deploying for about a year.

Thanks

On a 6 hour drive I would trailer it if all possible. I know that wasn't the question so no, I think your gonna have to drop the drive shaft. Good luck. Better yet grab a friend and take a road trip to drive it back. Tell your son thanks for his service. We'll be praying for him.

Worse comes to worse rent a vehicle trailer from U haul. It would be worth it IMO.

Can't you put the back end on the dolly and lock the steering straight.
If 4x4, leave the transfer case in neutral, assuming there is a neutral.
