Today we lowered the preload to half of what I had ( now I have about 2.5 inches of drop ) the noise went away and the suspension tuning feels awesome, I think I got carried away with pre load.

So far the front OEM shocks with the 2x4 aluminum wishbone suspension are well matched with the 5100 bilsteins and the way I drive these nasty 2 lane highways.

You may need aftermarket suspension parts to get what you want to match up with the shocks lift.

I don't really want a huge lift but I'm open for suggestions.

sweet, looks close to level from the picture, U will loose a 1/2 mpg

Where come up with loosing 1/2 MPG? Maybe with larger tires yes?

Yes, it's hard for me to get past 16mpg on my overall mpg. I have 305 tires.
