Default Keypad entry problem

Bought my truck used and the card that is supposed to have the factory door code is not in the owners manual and I have no idea if the original owner changed the code or not. Is there any way to reset the keypad so that I can enter my own door code or is this something I need to go to the dealership for?

You can make your own code but you need the original key code. You can take it to ford so they can hook it up to the IDS to retrieve the code.

I remember a thread on here somewhere about how taking it to the dealer they can charge you up to $50 to look up that code. There are some videos on youtube and forum threads on here about looking it up yourself on the back of a computer module underneath the glovebox. Just requires taking off like two pieces of pillar on the passenger side and you can look up the code. I'll keep looking for the thread and see if I can post it for you.

Edit: Found it: https://www.f150forum.com/f2/keypad-code-door-214850/

Thanks! As soon as I get home I'm gonna try this. Thanks for taking the time to look that up for me!

Mine was on the bottom of the fuse panel under the glove box as well. Took a pic of it with my phone, to much of an angle to see it properly. I have a 2007 SuperCrew.

there was a thread too about inserting the first key, then putting in your second key and it will display the door code on the dash... maybe it was in the manual? It is also located on under the passenger side fuse box door and also behind the rear seat on a module

This is from my owner's manual of my 2013 F150 XLT

Displaying the Factory Set Code
Note: You will need to have two programmed passive anti-theft keys for
this procedure.
To display the factory set code in the information display:
1. Insert a key into the ignition and turn the ignition on for a few
seconds.
2. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
3. Insert the second key into the ignition and turn the ignition on.
The factory set code will display for a few seconds.
Note: The code may not display until after any other warning messages
first display.
