I'm getting sick of this joke. Not only have the majority of EB owners never experienced a single issue, but they also have a truck that drives better, feels better, is more powerful, and gets better gas mileage (in theory and on paper). I'm not denying the moisture swamping failure as it is well documented. I'm just tired of arrogant jackass remarks like this. I like my EB, and unless I get an amazing deal on a 5.0 my next truck will be an EB again.

Legitimate comments only please, not this junk.

And I'm out. I usually don't get involved in the ECO v. 5.0 crap, but what the hell. I guess today was my turn.

Smuggler, on another note, have you ever driven an EB? Just curious. If not, go try one just for the hell of it.

Why is there always that person who take joking so seriously? I took the whole thing as a joke, which I think is how most EB vs 5.0 start out, then someone just has to escalate things. People nowadays have such thin skin its ridiculous.
To the OP: I echo many of the previous comments. Not a deal at all. I always walk in and tell them what I will pay out the door. If they try to get me to come up on the price, I reassure them I am only willing to pay "X" amount of dollars. If they refuse, I walk. You have the power in the transaction as long as you assert it. Tell them, I am willing to pay X amount and go to the next dealership if they refuse.

I'm not really pissed or anything. I was just expressing my opinion. I have never really said anything on the 5.0/EB debate so I thought for the first time I might actually say something. I just thought the comment was immature, and I've seen it several times.... I didn't even get to triumphantly click post as I really didn't care what the poster of the comment thought. I'm all for jokes, for me it had more to do with the joke being old and overused. Otherwise it was a funny joke when it first popped up years ago.

Anyway on the topic of thick skin I have a lot of respect for SquatLife for taking all the crap people were flinging at him about the whole squat thing.

I'm out, and sorry everyone for hijacking the thread. Continue.

I've had both trucks, loved both. I chuckle about the water joke everytime I see it. Still love my EB.

Because the guy has 73 posts most of them are 'rofl can't drive ur ecoboost in the rain rofl" troll bait posts.

Know what -- just took the time and counted his post history.

Out of 73 posts, 34 of them are -- distilled to their essence -- 'ecobust sucks' posts. The second largest portion is just pure trolling/arguing or one to two word posts. About 10 posts seems to have actual concern for driveline shudder that some users are having.

Why is this guy not banned? How in the world can this be considered constructive posting?

No problem. It's easy to take for granted when most of us just want a friendly place to talk about our trucks.

I think they are pulling your dick! I think that is crazy high. I paid 29,500 out the door for my truck. I even had 3grand from a trade in, in my pocket when I left. The Sticker on my truck was 48 grand. I did want a different color than the Race Red, but still. Look around. Prices always drop around the Holidays. good luck.
