Default oil pressure at high altitude

I went wheelin' over the weekend at about 6000+ ft., I did not push the truck to hard but my oil pressure gage began to rise. Does alititude have affect on oil pressure?

Default Stands to Reason:

Typical automotive pressure guages are all referenced to atmosphere (PSIA), so the pressure reading would rise as atmospheric pressure is reduced.
