sway my options
looking into sway bars for my 2012 f150 lariat 4x4 supercab...not many options out there so brand is an easy choice. so which would you get if you can get only1? front or rear and why? just looking to help with the ride, not too soft (loose feeling) or too tight (it's a truck so not as tight as a gocart).

You already have one up front (even though it is kinda soft), so get the rear. I added the rear Hellwig to mine and it made a massive difference. One of my favorite mods.

I plan on a swaybar myself, and am thinking of Hellwig. That one has three settings on it, so you should be able to "dial it in" to what you want.

I find it hinders offroad. It hangs low (not below the pumpkin) and obviously, reduces flex.
I run mine on the softest setting and run logging/back roads pretty often. It's fine in thse cases, but I wouldn't truely go "offroad" with it. In all honesty though, if it was something that was planned, it can be dropped in about 10 minutes with an impact gun.

I did try the middle setting first, but found it didn't give enough flex on some rougher roads or backing up my steep garage entry. To me though it was better handling on nice roads.
I've since added fox shocks and Pro-Comp AAL's and those now have it better than the middle setting alone. Once I put on the coil-overs, I will likely try dropping the sway bar and see how I like it.

Hmm, ya got me wondering if I should even try it. If that bar negates any gains I got on rough roads with my Boss coilovers and rear shocks, it wouldn't be worth it.

Once I get the coil-overs on early next year, I'll disconnect the sway bar and report back.

IMO, unless you are really towing often or love taking the turns at speed, you're probably fine without it. You do sit a little bit higher than I am, so you may see some benefit.

Please do report back, it's not a concrete decision with me right now.
