Question Suspension lift vs. Body lift

I have a 1999 F150 Flareside and want to lift it some just for looks no offroading or anything. Can I do a body lift instead of a suspension lift and it lok just as good? What are some advantages and disadvantages of both other than the price difference? Can anyone help me out?

You can certainly do a body lift and save yourself some money. If done right they don't look too bad, but they aren't my preference. You'll get more lift with a suspension lift then you will with a body lift. I don't know too much about the pre-2004 trucks so hopefully someone a little smarter on them will chime in here for you.

I dont mind my body lift, I just need to get the gap guards for the front soon. But if I could go back, I would do the longer torsion keys in the front and blocks in the back. Would have been pretty close to the same price, and height. Either way, its your truck. And as far as difficulty on installing. Probably pretty close to the same. It could end up being a good weekend job.

a body lift with 2 guys (sober) lol in a shop with 2 jacks can install a 4 inch lift in 6 hours that included break time start at 10 and finnished around 4 that also installed the new 35" tires ( new tires placed on rims, balanced and bolted up)
