Supercrew or Supercab

If my kids were still with me I would have opted for the crew, since it's just my wife and I (kids grown and have left the nest), I had no need for a people hauler any longer just a longer bed for hauling materials and such yet wanted the extra storage space that the regular cab did not offer.
Pretty much subjective to each person, weigh your needs and wants and use logic to determine what you want.
Super cab fits my life style I guess you could say.

I have a SuperCab and love it. The 2011-2014 are bigger than the previous Models. And if your only hauling the kids occassionly then the Super is the way to go. If you haul things then the Super is so much bette than the Crew for the MONEY!!

With my 3 kids the SCab was just a bit too small. I do miss the longer bed sometimes, but I have a trailer for anything that's bigger than my bed. I've seen trucks like yours go anywhere between 2k and 5k depending on their condition. 5k is pretty much pushing the limits though. I'd say that a cash price of 3800-4000 would be a fair offer for that truck. Keep in mind the trucks you were comparing them to were 4x4. Higher premium, but also higher care.

Supercab for work, supercrew for 100+ bad *** points.
The price difference you pay between the two isnt that much in my opinion.
Lifted super crew long beds look down right mean.
Its all about personal opinion.
I would do the supercrew just because the room difference is worth it in more than most cases, regardless of if its just you and the wife, or you and the wife and ten kids.
Supercrew for the win.

It is correct...it actually depends on what your needs are. Do you need to haul more in the bed or in the cab? I debated about this subject when I was looking for a truck. For me...I rarely haul anything in the bed, but I do videography and haul cameras, tripods, and accessories. I'd much rather have my stuff inside the cab in the roomy area of my SCrew rather than in the bed.
edited to ad: I also leave my rear seats folded up and head rests folded down all the time unless in a rare occasion someone rides in the back seat. It keeps the seats cleaner and just leaves the truck with more room.

I pondered this m'self. I prior had a Ram 2500 Crew Cab, and it was really nice to have 4 friends & myself easily hop in an go. So I stuck with a SCREW.
But I wanted to be able to haul an ATV with the 'gate up, so I got the 6.5' bed (like my 2500 had). It's the best of both worlds IMO. And for me, the extra foot of truck length VERY rarely gets in the way.
It depends on the color, but the 5.5 box looks a touch silly on some SCREWs.
I love the proportions of the SCAB 6.5, but I really liked the convenience.
That fold up rear seat is freaking neato too, SOOOO much room back there!

I like the scab for best combo of seating and payload. My stx has really good payload and still plenty of room for my kids. The 6.5 bed really works well with my gooseneck trailer even letting me keep my toolbox in place while towing.
