Supercrew or Supercab

I know it all comes down to personal preferences and what you need it for ... but I just can't see any real reason to get a SCAB over a SCREW. Yes, the SCAB has some advantages: Allows for a 6.5' bed w/out pushing you to a 157" wheel base, and it basically gives you a large "storage space" behind the front seats. However, unless the only people ever getting in the back of the SCAB are children or midgets, the rear of the cab is basically useless as a "back seat".
I have had a couple of SCREW's and LOVE them. Normal doors all the way around, huge back seat area (the '08 I had was big, but the '14 I have is HUGE). Back seats fold up to give a very nice/large area for storage ... and if I want to haul 3 adults in the back seat, i can ... easily ... and they are super-comfy back there with all the room. There are vents that blow from the back of the console to help cool/heat that area as well, which is a huge plus for quicker cool-down of the truck, and comfort of the rear passengers. And if I'm not mistaken, if you get a platinum version, the rear seats are heated (not sure if they are cooled as well).
I guess my point is, the SCREW's only real negatives compared to a SCAB (IMHO) is that it is SLIGHTLY heavier, and you have to go from a 145" to 157" wheel base if you want a 6.5' bed. Everything else ... EVERYTHING ELSE ... is in favor of the SCREW, including resale values.

Well, sounds like i am in the same situation you were then. Its currently not my daily driver (drive a company vehicle) but I should prob go SuperCrew in case I ever need it to be. I only really use it around the house (mulch, stone, garbage, lumber, xmas tree, misc...) but I have had 2 kids since buying my supercab. Thanks to everyone for all the input. It really helped.

My kids are grown and I haven't carried passengers in the back seat for a few years now. My daughter is now driving my 2000 F150 and my son is about to finish his engineering degree. I still use the back seat area for storage, so a standard cab isn't the right option, but I need bed length rather than leg room. The SCAB is the way to go for me.
