I have a 1997 f150, with the 5.4 liter v8. it's getting headers and hopefully a supercharger bought for me to install on it for late Christmas and i'm having trouble doing research to buy them.
does anyone know where i can buy a supercharger? most places i've seen on the internet say the supercharger for my truck is discontinued. please help!
thank you

Procharger, Paxton.. there is a couple out there and u can find used powerdyne, vortech, etc. Do longtube headers for best power gain(30hp is possible). You'll see some gain if your FI with shorties(like 5) tho. Also you might wanna think about budgeting in a set of PI heads and aftermarket cams or your prolly not gonna be able to get 300 to the wheels. Thats alot of cash for for close to 300hp. If your getting anywhere near this much money spent on you...congrats! You might be able to run across a set of used pi heads for a couple hundred(200 thats a deal). FIgure conservative 600 for sum comp cams. What kind of headers.. You can get some cheap longtubes for abotu 300 but they're gonna be a pain in the *** to put on. It's a job. Your lookin at close to a thousand prolly to buy and have installed. A supercharger ($$$) you can get a paxton 3800. You can get a procharger for 4700.
Your lookin a 5-7K, you sure your getting a christmas that good? Are you installin this stuff yourself?

As much as I appreciate everyone's concern about the financial side of this matter, please refrain from expressing it. that's what I do when researching the parts.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I Voted For Bill and Opus
Rousch Performance
http://www.roushperformance.com/must...ger-kits.shtml
According to the Rousch site the 4.6 is good for at least 435 Hp, and 500 FP of torque, and it goes up from there maxing out in a streetable form of 600 HP it all depends on how much you do.
