Super Crew, Super Cab, or Standard Cab?

No Pain, No Pain!
The only thing I would change about my Scab is to have the doors on the Scab portion. During hunting season, it can be a little bit of a pain getting my rifles in and out of the back seat area.

...and standard cabs are now rarities where they used to be no.1...times have changed. I wonder if manufacturers would save money by just getting rid of the standard cab? What is the separate tooling and production cost vs. the benefit of the smallest portion of sales? Would the Scab be available at a lower price with the demise of the standard cab? I'd bet Ford would sell more 4.4 ltr diesel engines than standard cabs and they shelved the diesel for the F-150 for now (still producing the 4.4 ltr diesel engine for non-US markets).
