My Truck...



Looking to get some ideas of different options on plasti dipping these. i like this for sure but not sure how i would tape them off.


but looking at a few more pics i am not too sure..


this looks pretty slick


but i am more leaning towards this as of now...



and i have pitting all over so i think i should stick to the one color. i guess it depends what options there are.

Everyone seems to like plastidip, I think it looks like ***** & cheap.

I found some old rims and had them powdercoated, then got new center pieces and lugnuts. Couldn't be happier. (sorry, the second pic shows old rusty lugnuts)

The problem is, with my 22's the best price i am seeing is 120 per rim. That pretty dang expensive. I planned on using "Glossifier" to make them shine and not look like a crap spray paint job that you think of when you think Plasti Dip.

Trust me, I am not that guy to do something that is dumb to my truck. Or something that looks cheap. I have seen Glosifier'd black wheels and could NOT tell a difference if they were powdercoated or not.

For $5 per can, i think its worth a try. My rims are just not shinning anymore and the backs look like brushed aluminum from a night stuck in a mud hole that has fill dirt made from rocks. pretty upsetting.

Worth a try then. Where are you getting 22's fr 120 a rim? That's a great price where I'm from haha

Just plastidip them all black. Personally I don't have a problem with people using plastidip on their rims. I used it on my rims and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to use plastidip because if I had my rims powder coated and I didn't like it I couldn't peel powder coat off.

HAH... yeah if you read it as i wrote it, everyone would be using me to buy their 22's lol..

I meant Powder Coating for $120 per and of course, add about $150-$180 to the final number for dismount, mount and balance again.

So, total cost to complete powercoating would be over $600
