planning my first trip to Sturgis this year. Just wondering how many of you out there have been or what to go to Sturgis. Any places that are must "see" and those that should be avoided..
Figure this could be the start to a pretty good thread..

There is a lot of places to visit, its not Just Sturgis . Check out Sturgisrally.com . They also got some in Youtube's .. I.m also planning to go this year Rally . If you decided let me Know , maybe we can ride together ..

I rode from Cleveland to Sturgis in 2008. Check out Devil's Tower, Hullett, the Crazy Horse Memorial and Deadwood for sure. Skip Wall Drug if you pass it...what a waste and a tourist trap.

If you get the chance do the Needles Hwy (87) and the Iron Mountain Road (16A) These are two of the most challenging roads in the area. I have been to Sturgis eight times and have found that if you want to just ride it's best to go before or after the rally, less traffic, if you want to party definitely take in the rally, it's a blast.
Like "stinknugget" said skip Wall Drug, biggest display of "Made in China" I have ever seen.

I've been, I swung over to Mount Rushmore and then came down through st. Lewis coming back home. Pretty legit.
