Post straight pipe

so i was driving and my exhaust got louder, there goes the muffler. so i cut after the cat and and put a tip. drove a for another week and started to hear rattling, looked under, there goes the hangers... took off both cats and ran a pipe to a rez and then about 3 more feet of pipe.

my question do you think i will have better gas milage because of the free flowing, or do you think it will lessen

thanks,
Carlo

Im not sure, some people say that it is hit and miss. I would search around on here to see if anyone here has done it, and with what results.

No that is an OBD2 thing. Tehre were a couple cross breeds that had obd2 connector under the dash and the obd1 connector under the hood. Those may or may not have the downstream O2. My mother in laws Blazer had the OBD2 connector under the dash and the downstream O2, but when I put in a "test pipe" it never triggered the light.
