Default Steering Coloumn Diagram 90 f150

i need to replace a piece in my steering column. it attaches to the actuator rod, but i am pretty sure i dont have to rplace the actual actuator rod itself. its a cast aluminum piece, and i can see where it broke off. i have most of the steering column pulled apart, and i just need to know what the piece is called. its the peice that attaches itself from the tumbler to the actuator rod. thanks darcy

Default Wrong Language:

What did the broken part do for you before it broke? Are you, perhaps, refering to the shifter mechanism?

this piece that broke, if i push it in, i can feel a spring like resistance. i should have mentioned that my truck is a standard. im not compltely sure if it is a built in part to the actuator rod itself.
