Default Start then immediately dies. Also gauge cluster going nuts

I have a 2001 F150 that will start up then die. It only does it sometimes. Occasionally when its acting up and it doesn't start it just turns over real fast. I have replace the MAF, the IAC, and am about to change the cam position sensor. But I am at my wits end! Fuel pump isn't terribly old (4 or 5 years). Most coils have been replaced over the years (never acted like this with previous coils). But it wont throw a code, so I'm just guessing at this stuff. Please HELP! On a side note, not sure if its related, but my gauges have been going nuts. When I hit a bump or tap on the cluster they shoot to max then down and all over. Every gauge.

Update: Replaced the cam position sensor. 7 starts with no dying. Keeping my fingers crossed. Is there no one here that knows about the gauge cluster????
