Speeders to pay extra for police fuel
Here is a good one for you. Holly Springs, Ga. will have a 12 dollar surcharge added to a speeding tickets to pay for the high price of fuel.
Police Chief Ken Ball says. He expects the fee increase, which applies to all moving violations and can [har-dee-har-har] be rescinded if gas prices fall below $3 a gallon, to generate $19,500 to $26,000 a year for the town of 7,700.
If You believe this surcharge will be rescinded when fuel prices drop. Then you also believe Elvis is still alive.

I do a lot of driving for work so I do quite a bit of speeding. As long as you keep it less than 10 over (on the interstate) they don't seem to mess with you. If a cop passes me without his blue lights on, I will follow right behind him even if he is running 90 or better.

Think about your statement...while the govt has quote, unquote failed its people, the populous as a whole, has walked into this mess whole heartedly. Instead of making intelligent and informed/enlightened decisions by which we move the fate of the nation, we have moved blindly toward a govt in which is yield anything and everything to the executive, have gone about in eschewing fiscal responsibility, and have created our own credit crisis. The populous is just as much to blame as the govt.
