Sorry OP it will be a long time before I'll take any of your threads at face value. Good luck with your Ram, Dodge, Ford or whatever truck you actually bought.
@Azuri...Ha ha...I love it. As usual I get a good lsugh from stuff you post. It sure is funny.

@Stations of the Sun Ha ha...yes indeed. I am in agreement with this comment. That is what happen to me for sure.

I'm not brand loyal. I love trucks period. I have had Dodge and Chevy and never had any issues out of any of them. My last truck was an Avalanche. It was time for me to get a new one. I was going to get another Avalanche, but my husband asked about Ford trucks and suggest renting one for a week to see if I like it. Rented it. Fell in love. Got hooked. Went and got me one. I love it.

Looks good, good price, nice sounding engine, nice features such as HID's, good build quality. It's the second Ford vehicle that I bought this year...next a nice Shelby. It's nice to finally own vehicles that I can drive instead of drinking espresso's and eating paninis at the stealership while my POS is getting fixed.

One thing is sure I will never EVER buy a Chrysler product. The GM were too bland for me(still nice trucks). Also I come from cars and the GM with it's column shifter was an other reason why I did not even went on a test drive. The F150 is just what the doctor ordered.

I did not need to add an other vehicle to the stable but the I fell in love with the F150 and being able to say so long truck rental companies is a real bonus. This badboy is a keeper.

I worked at a Ford dealership in the detailing department my senior year of high school, that was in 2006. That year the dealership was closed because of the collapse of the economy. I was in and out of pretty much every Ford model that was produced in the last decade. The interior fit and finish, along with the styling of the interior and exterior of a Ford has always been top notch in my mind compared to any other truck manufacturer.

After that I worked at a body shop for 3 years, I have driven, and been in and out of countless vehicles, brands, trim packages, and besides a BMW or Mercedes the interior of most Fords is my favorite. The early Focus models were crap, my brother and his wife had an early model focus wagon that they lent me when I was between vehicles after a bad wreck, the entire car vibrated so bad that you couldnt hear someone trying to talk to you in the back seat. Besides that one Focus, Ford has had the best track record as far as fit and finish in my opinion.

I like the exterior of GM vehicles as of the last decade or so, but I dont like the interior so much. When it comes to Dodge, I like neither interior, or exterior. I see so many late model Dodge trucks rusty and rotting away that it makes me cringe. In my opinion, it goes Ford, GM, Toyota, then Dodge as far as any truck I would sign my name too. But now I work at a Ford assembly plant and get a fat *** discount on any Ford produced vehicle. Sadly this does not apply to an SVT Raptor, otherwise I would be saving for a Raptor.

I'm not a Chevy fan by all means, I liked their early year 2000s model, but this truck looks pretty sweet. Just saying, seems like the ford tremor is gonna have competition

The Chevy guys might like it but I can't see it converting any Ford drivers. Once again just a subjective opinion but it doesn't appeal to me. It looks ugly and once again the square wheel wells are a feature I can't wrap my head around regardless of model. It might appeal to the folks who like lowered trucks since it appears to be lowered. I guess a small demographic will like it but I can't see it being an overwhelming blowout seller.

It's been gutted to reduce weight. "There is no trailer hitch, spare tire, interior center console and some of the sound insulation was pulled out, all to save weight. Aluminum is used for the wheels, driveshaft and rear leaf springs." Personally I'd be more inclined to buy mustang or something before get a gutted "race truck" just make more sense to me anyways.

I chose Ford this "go round" for one reason. $12,000 in incentives. Chevy or Dodge wouldn't deal. My last truck purchased 14 years ago, a Dodge was picked for the same reason, then Ford & Chevy wouldn't deal. Working for a public utility for the last 40 years, I've seen and drove all 3....many times. One brand never stood out for reliablility over another. You can a get a bad one no matter what brand. My wife works for an automotive supplier, they supply to all 3 so some components likely show up in each. Looks play an important role, & I like all of the American ones. In the last 25 years I've owned 2 Fords and the Dodge. Chevy just never seems to deal when I'm ready to buy. My new Ford is one hell-u-va nice truck. Can't believe how far they have come.

I bought a ford because I will never buy a vehicle from any company that took gov't money and then lied about paying it all back.

Had a honda PU before my f150 and it still is in the family and a great utility truck but doesn't have the towing capacity that we needed.

GM / Chevy - no freaking way, may they all go out of business.
