snow plow on 89 F150 156" wheelbase
I have a 89 F150,4x4, 302, supercab, long box, (156" wheelbase.) Apparently, Ford does not recommend putting a plow on F150's with this wheel base. Anybody know why exactly? or if i can get away with plowing with it anyway. I would like to do driveways around town with it, if it will hold up. any thoughts greatly appreciated.

I am not sure why they don't recommend it for the longer wheelbase, but if you do decide to install a plow, you may want to invest in some stiffer coil springs for the front to handle the extra weight.
