Default Short(er) AM/FM antenna

Anyone try some of the shorter AM/FM antennas on their F150's.??

Have a '13 XLT with the factory antenna that's always scraping on the garage door in and out. Have Sirius radio so I seldom listen to AM/FM so for reception purposes I don't mind a shorter one but at some point I know I'd start losing reception (AM/FM) if I went too short.

Is there a good compromise size out there.??

The compromise size is the one that's on it. 1/4 Wave. Full wave would be better but 4x the length would be an issue for most people. Put an antenna ball on the end.

I Put A 13" Antenna X from amazon on my truck and I still pick up radio stations 60 miles away. It's also a rubber whip style antenna so auto car washes are a non issue.

13" Antenna X 13" Antenna X
