When air gets introduced in a DexKILL system, it turns to mud!

That and leaks and 300,000 mile service intervals.

That looks like the bottom end of a Dodge caravan after 20,000 miles without an oil change!

In the fleet I service we were seeing that every 18 months in brand new engines. Hence the reason I would NOT recommend dexcrap to anyone.

Pure garbage in a bottle!!!!!!!

Doesn't change the point that Ford has gone to the same stuff in their motors. Things change. Problems get fixed all the time.

But certainly nobody is forcing you to use it. Yet. I suspect that may change eventually.

Today, the fleet I currently service was experiencing this engine clogging crud. When we showed it to our supervisors they changed to a different formulation so we don't have to replace radiators and heater cores by the dozen not to mention engines that could NOT BE FLUSHED properly.

What I don't get is why so many arm chair mechanics seem to think they know more then someone that has been doing it their entire life and still argue when facts HAVE been posted.

Go ahead and put that crap in your trucks if you want I could careless if you screw them up, just trying to lend a helping hand and getting smacked for my efforts. I'm done.

What he said. ^^^

Sometimes these changes make engineering sense and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they are just what big brother says is best for us.

But it may be wise to stick with what the manual says as to maintain component compatibly.

Lol. Man nobody is getting smacked here. Sorry you find disagreement a personal affront. Relax and have a beer or three. Smoke em of you got em.

Were the vehicles with problems 10 years old? There were some early model years that called for dexcool that had well documented problems.

It happens. But all that has seemed to be ironed out in the last 10 years or so. Either that or ford is the dumbest company on the planet for making the same mistake.

My question is...having just purchased a used 2011, I noticed the the anti-freeze was a little low so I topped off.....without thinking obviously..with about a quart of green 50/50 so how much trouble am I in? So I just go ahead and have a radiator flush?
